The working principle of a centrifugal spray dryer involves using an atomizer to disperse liquid feed into fine droplets, which are then rapidly dried by hot air through evaporation of moisture. This process primarily involves heat transfer and mass transfer. During spray drying, hot air directly contacts the droplets, transferring heat to them and causing rapid evaporation of water. This direct heat exchange significantly enhances drying efficiency. As moisture evaporates, the solid components within the droplets gradually concentrate and form dry particles. These particles are continuously carried and agitated by the hot air stream, preventing them from sticking together and ensuring uniformity and good flowability of the final product.
