The Spin Flash Dryer is an advanced continuous drying equipment that integrates drying, pulverizing and sieving in a single unit. It is especially suitable for rapid drying of paste-like, filter-cake, slurry and powder materials.
Working Principle
Hot air enters the drying chamber from the bottom at an optimal velocity, creating a strong rotating airflow that continuously scours the chamber wall, providing a self-cleaning effect that prevents material buildup. The material is fed continuously and quantitatively by a screw feeder into the drying chamber. Under the intense action of the high-speed rotating agitator, the material is impacted, sheared and rapidly micronized into fine particles, which come into full contact with the hot air for efficient heat and mass transfer. The dried powder is carried upward by the hot air, passes through a classification ring, and is collected by a cyclone separator and bag filter. Oversized particles are blocked by the classification ring and returned to the drying chamber for further pulverization and drying.
Structural Features
- The inverted conical structure at the bottom of the drying chamber creates an increasing cross-sectional area from bottom to top, maintaining high gas velocity at the bottom for fluidization of large particles and lower velocity at the top for smooth discharge of fine particles;
- The agitator shaft features a special pneumatic seal and bearing cooling system, ensuring stable long-term operation under high-temperature conditions;
- A classification ring and swirl vanes at the top of the drying chamber allow precise control of product particle size and final moisture content without additional sieving equipment;
- A cooling jacket at the bottom prevents thermal degradation or scorching of heat-sensitive materials;
