Advantages of fluidized bed dryers

Latest company blog about Advantages of fluidized bed dryers

A vibrating fluidized bed dryer consists of a feeding system, an inlet air filtration system, a heating and cooling system, a main unit, a separation and dust collection system, a discharge system, an exhaust system, and a control system.

During operation, material is fed into the drying chamber of the vibrating fluidized bed dryer via the feeder. Inside the drying chamber, the material comes into contact with hot and cold air streams, forming a fluidized state that enables heat and mass transfer, thereby completing the drying and subsequent cooling processes. A small amount of fine powder entrained by the airflow enters a cyclone separator. Under the action of centrifugal force, the material particles settle along the inner wall of the cyclone and are collected. Any trace amounts of fine particles not captured by the cyclone separator then enter a baghouse dust collector, where they are captured and recovered, while the moist air is exhausted to the atmosphere.

Control System: Signals from pressure and temperature transmitters installed at key inlet and outlet points are transmitted to the DCS (Distributed Control System). The temperature of the hot inlet air must be remotely controlled by modulating a steam proportional control valve to maintain the inlet air temperature within the desired set range. Key process parameters—including temperature and air pressure—are displayed on the instrument panel.
